About us
HerStory Revolution is more than a service — it’s a safe space for women to be heard, supported, and empowered. Founded by Michelle Faye — advocate, counsellor, domestic violence survivor, and lived experience leader — we walk alongside women as they navigate the complex journey of healing, rebuilding, and rising stronger. We believe that every woman’s story matters. And no matter how broken or silenced it may feel, it’s never too late to reclaim your voice, your power, and your future. Our approach is real, trauma-informed, compassionate, and deeply personal. We’ve lived it. We get it. And we’re here to walk with you — not in front of you, not behind you, but right beside you.
Michelle Faye
Founder/ Advocate/ Counsellor
Hi, I’m Michelle — founder of HerStory Revolution, counsellor, advocate, mentor, and woman who’s walked through fire and lived to tell the story.
I created this space because I know what it feels like to be silenced, broken, dismissed — and I also know the power of having just one person believe in you, fight for you, and remind you who you are.
With a background in education, community services, advocacy, domestic violence support and currently studying law— and as someone with lived experience of complex trauma and recovery — I bring a unique blend of professional expertise and deep personal understanding. I’ve sat in the system. I’ve fought through it. I’ve healed through it. And now, I walk alongside other women doing the same.
I don’t believe in fixing people. I believe in walking beside them while they remember their own strength.
HerStory Revolution isn’t just a business — it’s a calling. It’s for every woman who’s ever felt like she lost herself, and is finally ready to come home to who she truly is.
You're not too broken. You're not too late. And you don’t have to do it alone.

Counselling
Our counselling sessions are a safe, non-judgmental space to unpack what you’ve been through, how it’s impacting you now, and what healing looks like for you. We specialise in working with women impacted by trauma, domestic violence, grief, anxiety, and identity loss. Our approach is grounded in respect, empowerment, and evidence-based care. You don’t need a referal to get support — just a willingness to show up for yourself.

Whether you're trying to rebuild your confidence, re-enter the workforce, set healthy boundaries, or just figure out your next step — we’re here to walk with you, step by step.

Advocacy and case management
The system can be overwhelming — courts, Centrelink, housing, child protection, police. We provide personalised advocacy to help you navigate these systems safely and confidently. That might mean helping you prepare for a legal appointment, write a letter, make a complaint, access services, or just be there in the room with you.We believe women deserve to be heard and taken seriously — and we won’t let you be silenced.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral to book a session?
No referral needed. You can book directly with us — no GP, no mental health plan, no paperwork. Just reach out when you're ready.
Is everything I say confidential?
Yes — absolutely. Your privacy and safety are sacred here. The only time we’d ever need to break confidentiality is if there’s a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or if legally required. But we’ll always try to talk with you first, if that ever comes up
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. We offer Zoom sessions for women across Australia, especially if you're in a regional area, stuck at home, or just feel safer online. Phone sessions are also available if you prefer not to use video.
I’ve had bad experiences with counsellors before. How is this different?
We hear that a lot. This is different because it’s trauma-informed, lived experience-led, and real. No clinical coldness. No “just move on” advice. Just safety, truth, and real support — from someone who understands both the personal and the professional side of the journey.
Do you offer support for legal matters or court?
Yes — we offer advocacy and emotional support during legal processes, including AVO/DVO matters, family law, or if you're dealing with child protection. We can’t give legal advice, but we can help you understand your options, prepare documents, and show up with you (if you want us there).
What is mentoring?
Mentoring is more future-focused — rebuilding confidence, life skills, identity, and purpose. Mentoring is about taking actions and practical steps to live a life you truly love.
